Yeah! They Won Again!

They played the Scrappers again. Wyatt had a good game. He got a good hit that got him to first base, but then the other team had a few errors throwing the ball around so he ended up on 3rd base. He also made a double play, sort of by accident. There was 1 out, a runner on 3rd and a runner on 1st. He was playing short stop and the ball was hit just to his side of 2nd base. He ran and scooped up the ball -- the whole crowd was yelling "TOUCH THE BASE!!". It looked to us like he stepped on one side of the bag and then went over the bag and then threw it to 1st. He got the out at 1st and he must have grazed the bag because the field umpire called it an out on 2nd too! He was telling Shawn about it on the phone after the game . . . he was so excited to tell him. He told him he didn't even think about the double play and didn't know he touched the bag. Shawn said, "Don't say that -- you tell everyone, Of course I got the double play!!!! I'm awesome." The final score was Hooks 13 Scrapper 6. Good game!!! Their final game of the regular season is tomorrow night and then they start the tournament next week.
